the aftermath... livin it up these last days
Just got back home from a few days traveling back to the south of the country (Essaouria, Agadir, Marrakesh), which were full of much-needed REST and RELAXATION. ;) i was much more tired than i thought last week, as evidenced by falling asleep alongside my computer, mid-msn, more than once in the same week, so it was nice to nap in the car and sleep till 9 each morning. went down with a woman from LA i met through the immigrant NGO and we did some (also much-needed) gift shopping, ate (not so needed, and) overpriced asian food, swam in picturesque hotel pools, and hiked through this area called "paradise valley" (this gorgeous and lush palm tree-filled valley) and climbed up some trickling waterfalls. calm atmosphere, no enormous tour buses or recited tour guide speeches, and no 26 other dramatic American 20-some year-olds....it was by far the best of my "excursions" outside of Rabat! :) but time never slows for long - i have to be back at the church for the NGO receiving hours in the morning and spend the rest of the day preparing to move out of the house (sniffle, my last day in this gorgeous place!) and packing for the weekend in spain. when did i get into this lifestyle??!! it is unreal. one of these days i swear i will wake up.
