A second-floor view of the Center for Cross-Cultural Learning, aka CCCL, and after learning the translation in Arabic, also aka "al-markez". Originally built as a traditional Islamic house in the heart of the "medina" (old city), this hundred-year-old building still retains much of its original charm - including multi-colored mosaic tiling on floors and walls, large windows (that we climb thru often to sneak into class) and long spiraling stairways. It is our second home - the place of Arabic class from 8 to 11am and afternoon lectures and seminars.
